    Barney Cullum

Barney Cullum is a London-based sports writer who spends the majority of his time co-editing New African Soccer magazine, but who's first love remains the samba football of Brazil. His first scoop in journalism came with an exclusive interview with Sócrates for his college newspaper.

    Chris Marks
    Chris Marks

Chris Marks has been a fan of Brazilian football since an early age, his engrossment beginning watching the hot sun beat down on the likes of Zico, Sócrates and Falcão in Mexico ’86. An Evertonian by birth, he has keenly followed Flamengo and São Paulo for many years. With a big knowledge and a background in writing for football-specific websites, Chris researches and writes about the Brazilian game.

    Dave Tryhorn
    David Tryhorn

David Tryhorn is a sports TV Researcher/Production Assistant, working most recently on Channel Five's world football magazine show 'Golazo!'. His passion for Brazilian football began at the 1986 World Cup and ignited when he first moved to Brazil in 1999. A keen and knowledgeable follower of the domestic game, he rarely misses a Fluminense game when he’s out in Brazil. David also regularly translates articles from Portuguese for fifa.com and fifaworldcup.com. He lives in London, but gets away to northeast and southeast Brazil as much as possible.

    Graham Yates
    Graham Yates

It was the Seleção’s care-free style of 1982 that inspired Graham Yates’ passion for samba football. Falcão, Sócrates and Zico were the household names back then, but Éder was his favourite. It prompted him to investigate - and subsequently discover - that Brazil’s class of 1970 was even better, although he remained most fond of Telê’s troops. An ardent follower ever since, Graham is now a statistical expert on Brazilian football.
