Flamengo - the Rio de Janeiro big guns and record five-time Brasileiro champions - have the threat of relegation hanging over them. Despite a resurgence under new coach Andrade, who is unbeaten in seven matches since assuming charge of the team, Flamengo are still just one place above the drop zone. In contrast, Corinthians and the club's assembly of stars have their sights firmly set on winning the Brasileiro for the first time since 1999. They currently occupy third position in the standings but if results go their way, a win against Flamengo could see the Big Team return to the top.
