Hi futebolista, Dida's place in the Brazil side is in doubt. While Carlos Alberto Parreira has been defending his under-fire captain Cafu, the Selecao coach has indicated that his long-serving number 1 must find his form quickly. Julio Cesar, Marcos, Gomes and Rogerio Ceni are all waiting in the wings to replace him. Rivaldo has been given hope of going to Germany 2006. The Olympiakos ace is currently on top of his game, and Parreira believes his experience could help the Selecao retain their crown. Parreira names his squad for the friendly against Russia next week, with the ex-Barcelona idol in contention for a spot. Ricardo Oliveira, who is expected to return from a long-term injury in April, is desperate to join Sao Paulo from Real Betis, so he can remain under the watchful eye of the Brazil tactician. Botafogo and America will contest the final of the Taca Guanabara on Sunday. The victors will play the eventual winners of Rio's second tournament, the Taca Rio, to determine the outright champions of the Campeonato Carioca. Can Botafogo record an expected success, or will the support of Romario inspire an America triumph? It's all to play for in the Campeonato Paulista, with just one point separating the top four sides. Palmeiras, who had been threatening to run away with the title, have picked up just one point from a possible six. Sunday sees Corinthians take on Santos, with the winners in with a chance of going top-it's a real six-pointer. Transfer Rumours: Lyon defender Cris, rated at €15-20 million, is wanted by A.C Milan, Santos have rekindled their interest in CSKA Moscow standout Vagner Love, Goias have unveiled Vampeta as their latest recruit, and Flamengo have targeted Inter Milan star Alvaro Recoba. Finally, Brazil's new kit will be launched in Berlin on Monday, and speculation is that it is a retro-look, just like the original design. Have a great weekend, amigos. Ate logo...
